MELAKA: A 38-year-old assistant technician died after collapsing while dining at a 24-hour restaurant in Bukit Katil here. Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit identified the deceased as Muhammad Arif Mohamed Rabei, who is believed to have suddenly fainted while eating at about 3.20pm on Friday (March 27). He said police received information on the incident at about 3.35pm on March 27 from the Melaka Tengah District Control Centre. ACP Christopher Patit said patrons at the restaurant immediately contacted the emergency line when an ambulance arrived at the scene. "A medical assistant from Hospital Melaka who arrived at the location later confirmed that the victim had died," he added.
