Fans were a little surprised when they first heard that Netflix was casting none other than the Man of Steel himself to play beloved fiction/video game character Geralt of Rivia. Netflix just unveiled the first look at Cavill's Geralt, and...well, let's take a look first:So, the obvious: this is a much younger Geralt of Rivia than the one we got to know in the CD Projekt Red games that popularized the character outside of Poland. He also lacks the beard he often sported in The Witcher 3, but that's not really canon considering that was a dynamic system. Geralt shares long white hair with that other instantly recognizable fantasy character that is Orlando Bloom's Legolas, but he's a world away from that squeaky clean elf. This image is a little more Legolas than CD Projekt Red's interpretation.
