Many were applying for Irish, German, French, Belgian and Swedish citizenship, but plenty of other countries were represented, including Austria, Cyprus, Denmark, Hungary and Malta. One remarkable result of the EU referendum is the number of people whose families fled the Nazis who are now reclaiming German citizenship.
