It may have come to your attention that those international footie experts Bono and The Edge, in collaboration with the Dutch DJ Martin Garrix, have recorded the official anthem for the European Football Championships, which kick off next Friday. Remember Ricky Martin’s La Copa de la Vida or Shakira’s Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)? One of these songs is about football, the other is not. After all, it was Larry who produced the definitive Irish football anthem, Put ’Em Under Pressure, for Ireland’s Italia ’90 campaign. But we can guarantee one thing: Put ’Em Under Pressure will be the soundtrack to our Euro 2052 campaign.
