According to TSN, the NHL hopes to raise around $15 million combined out of selling ads on helmets. That’s what the owners are going to think about. And undoubtedly we might start to see two or more decals on a helmet, we might even see an ad or two on the sweaters. We already see ads on teams’ practice sweaters. It’s doubtful the NHL would ever go the route of some of the European leagues and make jerseys that feature the ads more than the teams’ logos.
