MIDC Police said that the civic officials were on a regular anti-encroachment driveThe MIDC police have arrested three persons for allegedly assaulting civic officials on Wednesday evening when the officials were carrying out anti-encroachment drive near Khau Gali in Andheri West. MIDC Police said that the civic officials were on a regular anti-encroachment drive. However, around 4.30 pm, when the civic officials started removing hawkers and illegal food stalls near the railway station, the hawkers started agitating against the drive. Later, some of them allegedly assaulted the civic officials.
