“We have received the expressions of interests from three international oil companies. Now, the interested international oil companies that are deemed best suited to perform the operation will be short-listed. According to the agreement between Posco Daewoo and Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla), Daewoo will sell 1,000 cubic feet of gas at $6.5 per unit. A Petrobangla official said Daewoo International explored gas in Myanmar’s Shwe gas field adjacent to Bangladesh’s deep sea block 11. Myanmar’s AD 6 gas block is near Bangladesh’s deep sea block 10.
