Britons do not yet know what tier their area will be under once lockdown ends - that will be announced on Thursday. The Liverpool Echo reports that leaders on Merseyside, the first area to move into Tier 3, are expecting to now be in Tier 2. Tier 2London, once the epicentre of the disease in the UK, looks set to back into a Tier 2 lockdown under new restrictions. Tier 1It is thought only a small number of mostly rural places will immediately move into Tier 1 after lockdown. The full list below shows the areas currently with rates below 150 cases per 100,000 people.
