Tiger Woods has withdrawn from this week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational in Florida with a neck strain. “Unfortunately due to a neck strain that I’ve had for a few weeks, I’m forced to withdraw from the API,” Woods wrote. Three weeks ago, at the Genesis Open at Riviera — a tournament he hosts — Woods finished tied for 15th. The setback comes as the PGA Tour season enters a busy stretch of high-profile tournaments beginning with this week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational. Instead of rest, and in a somewhat surprising decision, Woods travelled directly to Mexico to play in the WGC Mexico Championship.
