Sir, We put back our large family holiday to France (something we do every year as several branches of the family don’t get a proper holiday otherwise) from early July to late August, to ensure that everyone was double-vaccinated plus two weeks. At the moment there is some doubt whether we can all go, as several in the party cannot afford to quarantine on return. It is ludicrous that the government is talking of offering small bribes to young people to get vaccinated when all they need to do is to make it simpler for everyone to travel, which would be the greatest incentive (“Youngsters who grab a jab to be rewarded with treats”, News, Aug 2).
