Adaptation to technology, nurturing the youth, and diversifying our export basket remain integral to sustainable development -- and it is commendable that recent governmental policies have focused on these areas. Now it is time to ensure that we do not stray from the path -- for example, digitization and all that it entails must be embraced wholeheartedly. By doing so, not only do we allow local entrepreneurs and businesses to flourish, we also leave ourselves open to foreign investment and sustainable expansion. If we continue to take the right steps, as we have done in the past, there is no doubt that Bangladesh’s fast-paced economic growth will take us to new heights.
