Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho is currently facing the problem of needing to improve his midfield, following the injury to Moussa Sissoko and the underperforming Christian Eriksen, who could soon be leaving the north London club. Eriksen, who is in the final year of his current contract, is expected to leave the club in January, otherwise Spurs will see him leave for nothing in the summer. According to Globo Esporte, Mourinho wants reinforcements in January and the club are looking at Brazil's Gerson Santos da Silva. The 22-year-old former Roma and Fiorentina midfielder scored two goals and created four assists for Brazilian side Flamengo last season.
