A Cessna 172 aircraft on a training flight crashed in the agricultural fields at Baramati in Maharashtra on Tuesday. The pilot, according to officials of the district collectorate suffered injuries and had been taken to a nearby hospital. The aircraft was on a 'solo, cross country flight' as per a part of routine flying. Registered as VT-RDX, the aircraft was owned by Mumbai-based Carver Aviation, as per record of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is an American four-seat, single-engine, high wing, fixed-wing aircraft made by the Cessna Aircraft Company.
