There's only days left to run in the January transfer window but we could see some notable late movement. Chelsea have allowed Raheem Sterling to end his contract early, mutually agreeing to let the player quit Stamford Bridge after he was frozen out. One player they won't want quitting is Cole Palmer, who continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United. The Red Devils themselves have a decision to make on their future with Michael Carrick pushing his case to be their head coach beyond this season. They know they have plenty of work to do with reinforcements again needed, but that is likely to be a job for the summer.
