Days after withdrawing from New Zealand Cricket’s (NZC) central contract, fast bowler Trent Boult on Thursday, was named in the ODI squad for the upcoming Chappell-Hadlee ODI series against Australia. However, Boult is likely to miss the Pakistan tour due to his commitments with the T20 leagues. I’m fully aware that with the decision I made to give that contract back, it’s going to affect that selection. I’m going to leave that with New Zealand Cricket and respect their decision,” said Boult as quoted by Stuff.co.nz. Boult also stated that he wants to represent New Zealand in the next ODI World Cup, slated to be held in India in 2023.
