It certainly seems that Chief Lopez and the KPD have made great strides against crime . Killeen now has the lowest crime rate among all but one similar-sized Texas cities. While most categories show improvement, more work needs to be done in some areas . Good work so far, but it will take a lot more progress to make Killeen a truly safe city. It’s hard to say without taking a deeper dive into the statistics.
