US President Donald Trump on Saturday claimed that India has signed a deal to buy Venezuelan oil. India is coming in, and they’re going to be buying Venezuelan oil as opposed to buying it from Iran. After Trump imposed sanctions on Venezuela in 2017 during his first term in the White House, India had cut back on purchasing Venezuelan oil. Sharing an audio recording of Trump’s latest claim on X, the Congress said: “Today, President Trump announces: India will now buy oil from Venezuela instead of Iran. India today is being run by a weak and shameless Modi government.
