Israeli commandos also launched an unsuccessful mission overnight to try to retrieve the remains of a navigator lost in 1986. Russian President Vladimir Putin voiced support for an “immediate” ceasefire during a phone call with Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian on Friday, the Kremlin said.
