Crime & Punishment of Tuesday, 23 December 2025Source: GNAThe Kaneshie Divisional Police Command has arrested two persons for unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition during a patrol operation at Kwame Nkrumah Circle. It said the suspects were riding a Royal motorbike with a faded number plate when they were intercepted. Upon seeing the police, the suspects abandoned the motorbike and attempted to flee but were arrested after a brief chase amid resistance. The statement said the suspects had been cautioned and were in police custody assisting with investigations. The Accra Regional Police Command urged the public to support police efforts by providing credible information to help combat crime and enhance public safety.
