Police on Friday arrested two robbery with violence suspects in Vihiga County. In a statement, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations said the suspects were arrested following a forensic-led trail by the Western Region crime researcher. They are suspected of attacking a truck driver and robbing him at Askote Market in Vihiga. Police said the victim suffered life-threatening injuries inflicted by a machete by the attackers before they disappeared with his valuables. Police said the suspects are in custody pending arraignment on Monday.
