The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) on Thursday, July 29, announced that it would be participating in all the upcoming by-elections. The party called on applications for any aspiring candidate for the three upcoming MCA by-elections. UDA party secretary-general Veronica Maina stated the deadline for application is August 4, 2021. This comes weeks after the UDA party won the recent Kiambaa by-elections which saw Njuguna Wanjiku garner 21,773 votes defeating Jubilee's Kariri Njama who got 21,263 votes.
