British troops have come under attack from Iranian-linked drones, defence chiefs have said. A swarm of drones hit an air base used by Western forces in Erbil, northern Iraq, on Wednesday night. A UK counter-drone team shot down two of the drones, while others managed to hit the base. They said an unknown number of drones, believed to have been launched from Iran, "did impact the base" at Erbil. "There is no doubt [the Iranian] tactics have changed," he added.
