MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines, through the Department of Foreign Affairs, has received a “kind offer” of 100 units of ventilators valued at $1,557,520 or around P77.9 million from the government of the United States, Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. said Monday. “Received a kind offer of 100 units of Vyaire Ventilators model LTV 2200 valued at $1,557,520.00. Thank you America,” Locsin said in a tweet. As of July 20, the overall amount of US assistance to the Philippines for its response efforts to the coronavirus disease 2019 has reached nearly P981 million or $19.8 million.
