The confirmation of the presidential election result in Congress is traditionally a rubber stamp exercise, but Donald Trump has portrayed it as an opportunity to stop an election he baselessly claims is fraudulent. Unusually, a handful of Republican politicians are set to object to the ratification of the presidential election result.
