UberUber rides are about to get cheaper, but only if passengers are willing to walk a couple of blocks to catch a ride. Instead, with ExpressPool rides, passengers might have to walk a block or two during pick-up and drop-off. At the end of the ride, passengers might have to take another quick stroll. UberPool rides today are matched within a few seconds of a request and have fixed pick-up and drop-off locations. Now with ExpressPool, Uber is trying to smooth out its routing problems, but is in the process shifting the risk to the pick-up and drop-off period.
