The Uncorked Wine and Food Festival set for Aug. 5,6,7 has been cancelled, according to the event's organizers. Ian France owns the entertainment company responsible for the planned festival. He added other large festivals in the municipality pay a similar amount. France declined to provide specific numbers on how much he'd be losing from the cancelled festival, but said it was a "significant enough" amount. He claims the Town of LaSalle wanted fees in excess of $40,000 to host the event in the town.
