Last week, Ubisoft announced a major restructure that saw multiple games cancelled, including the Prince of Persia: The Sand of Time Remake, and more concerningly prospectively put layoffs on the horizon. Now, following an agreement made by a group of organised Ubisoft workers across multiple French unions, a call for an international strike across all studios at the company has been put out. Namely, the five unions are calling for a "massive international strike by all Ubisoft employees" across the 10th, 11th, and 12th of February next month. A half-day strike was held last week, but this was only through Solidaires Informatique in France. According to Ubisoft's about section on their website, the studio currently has roughly 17,000 employees, meaning if international workers take part in the strike, it could feature thousands of staff members across the world.
