After the process was widely criticised, Jolie, via The Huffington Post, accused Vanity Fair of taking the casting process out of context and demanded a retraction. Despite Jolie's legal team demanding a public apology, Vanity Fair stood by its reporter and the story after publishing a transcript of the interview.
