Hong Kong International Airport remained a deserted facility in 2020. In the first 11 months, the airport handled just 8.7 million passengers and 148,015 flight movements. Only 3.569 million, visitors arrived in Hong Kong last year, a 93.6 percent drop from 2019, the year-end data released today by the Hong Kong Tourism Board show. For the whole of 2020. there were just 862,000 non-mainland visitors, a drop of 92.9 percent, on-year, HKTB data show. The airport remained barely used for passenger traffic in 2020 as well.
