The April 2 Reuters’ article begins (“Israeli forces kill three Palestinian militants in West Bank“):Israeli security forces killed three gunmen from the Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad in a shootout in the occupied West Bank on Saturday. In contrast, The Guardian altered the beginning of Reuters’ article as follows:Israeli security forces have killed three Palestinian gunmen in the occupied West Bank, Israeli police said. As a reminder, AP’s headline was: “Israel raids West Bank, 2 Palestinians killed in gun battle.” The Los Angeles Times, just like The Guardian, dropped the reference to the gun battle.
