Ten fire engines sent to the scene in Hoe Street, with nearby businesses evacuated as black smoke filled the streets. Drinkers were forced to flee a nearby pub, The Rose and Crown, and the road has been closed off. London Fire Brigade said there are currently 70 firefighters at the scene. In a statement the London Fire Brigade said: "Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters have been called to a fire at a car workshop on Hoe Street in Walthamstow.
