Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi has fired a warning shot at land-grabbing cartels saying their days are numbered. Wamatangi said his county has been facing challenges in providing basic social amenities owing to massive land-grabbing in the county. “There is no place where one can build a public toilet; all the land has been grabbed,” Wamatangi said on Sunday while addressing a church service. “To anyone attempting to acquire public land, I will not approve that, and action will be taken,” he added. Wamatangi pointed out that the individuals who are behind land grabbing have been working with area leaders to sabotage his development agenda.
