"I am here to throw a gumboot, to win this competition, and be New Zealand's number one legendary gumboot thrower," says Mr Watson. He may be a natural in front of the camera - but what about with gumboot throwing? Rangitikei District Mayor Mayor Andy Watson was also competing in the contest, despite the risk of injury.
