Weather mood swings? Freezing rain warning for St. John's, after 2-day blizzard

After a two-day blizzard in eastern Newfoundland, a freezing rain warning has been issued for parts of the Avalon Peninsula. In the St. John's area, Environment Canada is warning of a mix of snow, ice pellets and freezing rain on Thursday. The snow and ice pellets will start some time in the morning, changing to freezing rain by noon. Then the weather will switch over to rain and flurries in the southeast portion of the Avalon. Some schools in the Port aux Basques area are closed for the morning because of the weather.
