Health Minister Zweli Mkhize on Tuesday assured South Africans that the B.1.617 coronavirus variant, currently dominant in India, has not been detected in South Africa. This was after News24 reported on Monday that a person, who travelled from India to South Africa, has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
