Now that PTSB is for sale, it seems a good time to discover what has happened to his shares. Five years on, in 1999, Irish Permanent merged with Irish Life to create Irish Life & Permanent. At that time, you got one share in the new Irish Life & Permanent for every old Irish Permanent share you held.
