OPINION: I'm an anti-shopper committed to “shopping local”. Clearly, these preferences have a bearing on my relationship with my local shops, pubs, restaurants, pharmacies, cafes and takeaways. I want them to remain in my neighbourhood, because I want my local shops to remain a vibrant place. Local shops have to compete for each of my dollars against the benefits of spending it on something else. This is what my version of shopping local looks like.
