Kicking off the first two shows over the weekend of what could be their final tour, The Tragically Hip performed countless classics, along with some new tracks off their latest album, Man Machine Poem, in Victoria, B.C. Shortly after, the beloved Canadian band confirmed they would be embarking on a 15-city tour around the country, tickets quickly selling out. The shows were frontman Gord Downie’s first since announcing his terminal brain cancer diagnosis in May. on Friday and in Vancouver on Sunday. CBC will be broadcasting and streaming the band’s final concert in the Hip’s hometown of Kingston, Ont., live on its online, radio and television platforms on August 20.
