Everton have been deducted 10 points for breaching the Premier League’s financial rules (Reuters)Everton have fallen to 19th in the Premier League table after they were handed a 10-point deduction for breaching Financial Fair Play rules. Everton vowed to contest the charge but the Premier League announced on Friday that Sean Dyche’s side have been punished with a 10-point deduction. That means Everton have fallen from 14th in the Premier League table to 19th, level with 20th-placed Burnley on four points but with a superior goal difference. A statement from Everton on Friday read: ‘Everton Football Club is both shocked and disappointed by the ruling of the Premier League’s Commission. ‘The Premier League issued a complaint against the club and referred the case to an independent commission earlier this year.
