British-Palestinian doctor Rahmeh Aladwan has claimed that she was arrested four times in less than three months over social media posts that allegedly expressed support for Palestine and opposed Israel. Aladwan said the arrests were politically motivated and targeted her free speech.Posting on X, Aladwan said: "Today, I was arrested for the fourth time in less than three months. She was previously suspended for 15 months by a medical tribunal over alleged antisemitic social media posts and claims of supporting "violent action and terrorist organisations." The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service said the posts could discourage patients from seeking treatment from her. The GMC launched the investigation after complaints that she had made antisemitic comments on social media.
