Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has revealed why the ODM party chose to spare Woman Representative Esther Passaris from expulsion. On Tuesday, Sifuna said that Passaris humbled and apologized when she appeared before the disciplinary committee to show cause. The Senator noted that the other ODM MPs displayed blatant disrespect to the party which tainted ODM's image hence they were expelled. Last week, the ODM party fined Passaris for going against the party position and voting for the Finance Bill, 2023, now an Act. The party said Passaris would have to pay Sh250,000 as a fine for defying the party besides issuing a written apology within seven days.
