VANCOUVER—Police are asking the public for information about the theft of more than 150 wigs, some of which were destined for patients at BC Children’s Hospital. The wigs, made from real human hair and valued at about $2,500 each, were stolen just after 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 7 from Eva & Co. Wigs on West Broadway, say Vancouver police. A collection of wigs worth more than $350,000, some of which were intended for cancer patients at BC Children’s Hospital, have been stolen from a store in Vancouver. Cindy Yip, co-owner of Eva & Co. Wigs on West Broadway in Vancouver says that more than a dozen kids won't be getting their back-to-school wigs. ( Supplied )Because the wigs are made in store, Yip said she has been working around the clock to make up for the lost inventory.
