WEDNESDAY is the scheduled collection day for recyclable items including garden refuse (grass and dried leaves) in my area. The Alam Flora workers, however, are only interested in collecting papers, plastic bottles, glass and metal items. I have complained a number of times directly to Alam Flora and the answer I get is that another truck will come to collect the garden refuse. Perhaps we should put the bag of garden refuse together with the household non-recyclable rubbish if this goes on. Alam Flora has to educate the public as well as their own staff on how to effectively carry out this environmental practice.
