MELAKA: A woman claims that the headmistress of a vernacular school in Alor Gajah near here caned her daughter so violently until she started bleeding from her back. She said she went to the school the same day to seek an explanation from the headmistress, who was rude and unresponsive. The housewife also claimed that the headmistress told her to "take whatever further action she wished". The woman said that her daughter was traumatised by the incident and had refused to go to school since. "We will pass the investigation papers to the deputy public prosecutor for the next course of action," he said.
