more-inIn an alleged dowry harassment case, the husband of a 26-year-old woman, who was found hanging at her residence in Jawaregowdana Doddi in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, has been arrested. Anand, an autorikhaw driver, was married to Shalini six years ago and the couple had two children. According to the police, Anand used to harass and fight with Shalini frequently. Anand returned home late in the night and went to sleep thinking his wife would be sleeping with the children. Shalini's mother filed a complaint against Anand, accusing him of harassing his wife over dowry, which she said could have led her to take the extreme step.
