IPOH: A 24-year-old woman was killed and her parents were injured when the car they were in fell down near an overhead bridge at KM313 of the North-South Expressway near Tapah. Tapah OCPD Superintendent Wan Azharuddin Wan Ismail said K. Yuvabarathi died while being treated at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here at about 3.35pm on Thursday (May 27) following the 2pm incident. Supt Wan Azharuddin said her 59-year-old father V. Kunalan suffered light injuries to his chest while her 56-year-old mother M. Nirmala Devi suffered serious head injuries. "Both her parents are being treated at the Tapah Hospital. Supt Wan Azharuddin said Kunalan is believed to have lost control of his vehicle before it crashed through a railing on the right and fell down near the bridge.
