Work permit may stop Onyeka’s Brentford move

The proposed move of Frank Onyeka to Brentford may be scuttled by work permit issues, Sunday PUNCH has learnt. Our correspondent gathered that Onyeka has not met some of the criteria to play in the English Premier League. The former FC Ebedei starlet does not have an EU passport, neither has he played 75 per cent of the Super Eagles games over the last two years. The Danish league, where he currently plays, also isn’t ranked in Europe’s top five leagues. “We are doing all we can to get him an EU passport.”Brentford will host Arsenal on the opening day of the 2021/22 season.
