KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 15): Malaysia outperformed its regional peers but slips in its logistics performance ranking in 2016, according to the Logistics Performance Index by the World Bank Group. The index showed Asean economies' mixed trend in overall logistics performance, with some countries posting lacklustre results and others, including Malaysia, performing above average. The World Bank said progress in logistics performance has slowed for the first time since 2007. It noted all Asean countries, except for Singapore, Myanmar and Cambodia, backslid in 2016, compared with two years ago. However, in all ASEAN countries, except Singapore and Malaysia, scores for infrastructure were lower than overall scores.
