Yeoh: No licences for KLCC photographers

PUTRAJAYA: Authorities have ruled out issuing licences to photographers operating in the vicinity of PETRONAS Twin Towers in Jalan Ampang due to safety concerns. Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh said the decision was made after taking into account traffic conditions and crowd density in the area. Yeoh said she had asked KLCC Property Holdings Bhd and the police for help in dealing with photography touts there as some are believed to be foreigners. It was reported that 18 men, believed to be involved in touting activities, were arrested after allegedly attacking two men vat Persiaran KLCC. Yeoh was speaking to reporters after launching a language programme offering English, Arabic, Mandarin and Korean classes for children aged seven and above.
