Young Waiheke Island creatives stage mini arts festivalDIANA WORTHY/STUFFNZ Ashleigh Jayne and Gaia Rowntree are creating two large artworks. A group of young friends brought up on Auckland's Waiheke Island are staging an unusual al fresco arts festival. Called the Arts & Innovation Festival, the event on January 12 and 13 promises five hours each evening of live music in Artworks courtyard, Oneroa. It is being sponsored by the Waiheke Local Board and Waiheke library. DIANA WORTHY/STUFFNZ Artworks courtyard offers plenty of performance space.
